Eric’s fiction has appeared in Permafrost, Tahoma Literary Review, CutBank, Sycamore Review, Bat City Review, Bluestem, and other literary magazines. His essays, reviews, and interviews have appeared in The Black Scholar, The Rumpus, Salon, and Full Stop Quarterly. His work has been nominated for Best of the Net, the Pushcart Prize, and has won Bat City Review’s Short Prose Contest and Sycamore Review’s Wabash Prize in Fiction. Eric holds an MA in English from Syracuse University and a PhD in fiction from the University of Cincinnati, where he served as an editorial assistant at the Cincinnati Review.
